Adventure in Gardening
April 6, 2023

Since I quit walking, we have had time to put in a Garden this year.  My asparagus won't be pickable this year.  You have to let the plant get a good root system.  Around the asparagus is Miracle Grow "soil".  Very disappointed that it had large chunks of wood and even large rocks in it.  It looks more like mulch than soil, but the asparagus seems to like it.

We planted four yellow squash plants, but two of them died...  it seems I overwatered them!  This garden is a learning experience.  It seems you are only supposed to water a couple times a week.  I'm amazed anything is alive.

We have eight okra plants here that seem to be surviving.  Have one small pod so far.  I also have 5 plants up by the house that I planted from seed.  They aren't this tall yet.

These are the pepper plants inside a secure area.  Squirrels like them, so they get protection.  There are two hot peppers and two bell peppers.

The two cantaloup plants are going wild.

This is just one part of the tomato plants.  I think Ed bought 12 plants.  I also planted some from seed.  I have the seed plants growing in pots in different locations.

Each of the plants have tomatoes growing on them.  Still nice and green...
